TWV MEDIA

You found the logo

You made it to the footer. Hardly anybody does.

The small TWV Media mark at the bottom of the site you were just on is our signature. We put it on websites we build and look after, the way a joiner pencils a name inside a drawer he made. It is there for the one person curious enough to look, and today that person is you.

Everything on this page runs in your browser. Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.

What the mark means

Five things we check before our name goes on a website

Restaurants put the hygiene rating in the window. Builders hang a board off the scaffolding. We put a small mark at the bottom of the page, which is less visible and considerably more smug.

You cannot buy the mark on its own. It comes with the work, and it goes on once a site passes the same five checks we would want run on our own. If one of our sites stops passing them, the owner hears it from us before a customer notices.

Sign-off sheetSite: your website
  1. It loads before people give up

Tested on a mid-range phone on a patchy signal. That is where most visitors are standing when they find you.

  2. It can be found

Titles, structure and markup that search engines and AI assistants can read, and nothing blocking the crawlers that decide whether you get mentioned.

  3. The numbers are honest

Enquiries and sales counted as they happen, a cookie banner that does what it says, and one agreed source of truth for the day the dashboards disagree.

  4. Somebody is looking after it

Updates applied, backups taken and a restore actually tested. A backup nobody has restored is a hope with a file name.

  5. An enquiry reaches a person

Every form sent through end to end, every phone number tappable, and replies landing somewhere a human will see them the same day.

The X-ray

The logo sits on the part you can see. The work sits underneath it.

Drag the red line across. On the left is a website as a customer sees it. On the right is what it took to make that website worth putting a name to. Pick anything in the list and the line jumps straight to it.

An invented business, drawn for illustration. The labels are the kind of thing we check on every site we sign.

The sign-off check

Eight questions we would ask before putting our name on your site

Answer honestly. Not sure is a perfectly respectable answer, and it scores exactly half, which tells you something on its own. Your answers stay on this page and disappear when you close it.

  1. Does your site load in under three seconds on your own phone, away from the office wifi?Try it on 4G in a car park. That is the real test.

  2. Search for what you do and the town you do it in. Are you on the first page?In a private window, so your own history does not flatter you.

  3. Ask ChatGPT or Claude who to use for what you do, where you are. Are you named?

  4. Do you know how many enquiries the site produced last month, as a number rather than a feeling?

  5. Have you sent a test enquiry through your own contact form in the last three months?

  6. If the site went down tonight, do you know who would notice first and who would fix it?

  7. Has anybody ever restored a backup of it, rather than assuming one exists?

  8. Could you change your prices or opening hours yourself, in under ten minutes, without ringing anybody?

See the mark at the bottom of your own website

Type your business name, pick a footer colour close to your own, and award yourself the mark. It is purely ceremonial until we have done the work, but it does suit you.

Already one of ours? Take the code for your footer

Paste this wherever your footer credit goes. It reads the colour you picked above and sets itself light or dark to match. The from part of the link tells this page which site the visitor came from, so they get a proper hello rather than a generic one.

Before you ask

The questions people have after clicking a logo in a footer

Why is your logo at the bottom of somebody else's website?

Because we built it, we look after it, or both. It is a signature, the same idea as an architect's name on a plaque by the door, and it links here so that anybody curious about who did the work can find out without having to ask the owner.

Does the mark mean you vouch for the business itself?

It means we vouch for the website: that it loads, it can be found, it counts what it should and somebody is looking after it. The business is the owner's, along with its prices, its products and its service. We are very fond of our clients, but we are in no position to guarantee their scones.

I clicked it by accident.

Welcome anyway. The back button is where it always is, and the site you came from will be exactly as you left it. If you have a website of your own, the check further up this page takes about a minute and might be worth the detour.

How do I get the mark on my own site?

By letting us do the work behind it. Book a call, bring your website address, and we will look at it with you against the same five checks. Sometimes the answer is a fortnight of fixes. Sometimes it is a rebuild. Occasionally it is that your site is already in good shape and you should keep doing what you are doing, and we will tell you that too.

Can a client take the mark off?

Whenever they like. It is a signature rather than a condition of the contract, and nobody is obliged to wear it. Most keep it, which we choose to take as a compliment.

Is anything I type into this page stored?

No. The sign-off check and the try-on panel run entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to us and it disappears when you close the tab. Our privacy notice covers the rest of the site.

Bring your website address. We will open it on the call, look at it against the same five checks we run before signing anything, and tell you plainly what we find, whether or not you ever hire us.
